Notes:
1:50 - Role at IGT: IGT a very diverse gambling company, part of which is hardware and software solutions, works with Fanduel, Ontario Lottery, some tribal lands stuff. 5:40 - IGT tech: 150 people based in Belgrade, Serbia.
7:30 - Nevada: "Nevada is a different model." In NV, you have to physically go into a casino to sign up for an account which "is a public policy decision to support brick and mortar investment". Some discussion about the fight for finite discretionary spending as it applies to this policy decision. 12 minutes later we're talking about horse racing industry subsidies and electric car industry subsidies and none of this holds any interest for me.
20:45 - Morality of Gaming: Much of the same old talking points, but at 22:15 - think the best part are the changes (which we all know) - 1) the advertising and 2) the broadcast mentions. 24:05 - some fun history that during the age of pay phones at a racetrack in Delaware during the races although Joe seems fully unaware of the potency of "the wire" back then.
25:15 - Politics: (take a shot). "I loved the Wilson Quarterly." - Jason. Bunch of Wilson Center talk. Asher was made Chairman of the Board last year by the president.
This pod could not have been any less targeted to me if you tried.
