Notes:
Bet Hog is a crypto sportsbook(?) so wanted to listen to this one. I had never heard of it.

1:00 - Host asks "why crypto? Why a gray market?" Goes through a history lesson of Flutter in 2000, FanDuel in 2007 and the gray market areas they were in, sees a lot of innovation coming from this space vs the other operators, mentions Stake. "The US market is anti-competitive, ESPN is finding this out, Fanatics is finding this out."

Then at 7:30 starts talking about how on the casino side it's a lot of the same, little innovation. Two areas he would like explored are "more skill based casino games" and more "PvP" games. These types of PvP games "really connect with crypto people", current casino games don't attract these types of people. Host correctly follows up with how do you solve the dominant skill issue, Nigel replies with games that combine skill with chance, "reward skill just enough". Botting is an issue, collusion is an issue, Elo matching has problems, etc. (This sounds extremely difficult, this seems almost a fool's errand.)

15:45 - Mentions that the proposed Brazil taxation is much better than the US market.

17:15 - BetDEX mention - betting exchange on Solana. Brokers can share liquidity through the protocol. Solana, while one of the faster public chains, still slower than centralized betting companies.

Some talk about Betfair and the lack of investment and how no one can catch them. Sort of shocked that we're talking Bet Hog and BetDEX and there's no mention of Polymarket here? Polymarket election volume is like 10x the Betfair volume.
